Surveillance Investigator


The surveillance investigator is responsible for investigating and documenting the activity of subjects who are suspected of engaging in insurance fraud. A typical day in the life of a surveillance investigator includes monitoring the subject of an investigation, initiating mobile pursuit, capturing video evidence and writing a detailed investigation report. The surveillance investigator will spend long hours in their car, with frequent downtime and fast paced, thrilling situations. Additionally, the investigator will access SIU Consultant Group’s case management system to retrieve and analyze assignment instructions, background investigation reports, as well as upload evidence obtained. 


Job requires a valid driver's license and strong fluency of the English language in written and verbal communication; basic computer skills including MS Office applications, email, web browsing, social media and online data bases; ability to work independently at home; and strong decision-making skills. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred, but not required.  Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred. You must own a personal vehicle that is reliable and suitable for surveillance such as an SUV or van - no trucks, sports cars or jeeps.

Research Specialist


The Research Specialist is responsible for providing administrative support for the Investigation Staff. Support functions will include performing background internet research, searching social media and other websites for case and subject information. The Research Specialist will also provide report writing support for surveillance and AOE/COE investigations. The Specialist will pull information and/or audio from investigations and write detailed reports following our SIU templates. The Specialist may also perform Medical Canvass research on subjects by collecting information details from various medical facilities and pharmacy locations.


Job requires strong fluency of the English language in written and verbal communication; basic computer skills including MS Office applications, email, web browsing, social media and online data bases; ability to work independently at home; and strong problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred, but not required.  Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.

AOE/COE Investigator


The AOE/COE Investigator is responsible for conducting AOE/COE Investigations that require the willingness to meet individuals at their residence, employment office, job site, or neutral location and obtain recorded statements. The statements cover the claimant's personal, employment, and medical history. The investigator will meet with all levels of staff from hourly workers to upper management in a variety of job fields. The investigator will perform detailed report writing and documentation after obtaining recorded statements. The investigator may also perform medical canvass research on subjects by collecting information details from various medical facilities and pharmacy locations.


Job requires strong fluency of the English language in written and verbal communication; ability to travel to on-site locations to obtain statements, basic computer skills including MS Office applications, email, web browsing, social media and online data bases; ability to work independently at home; and strong problem-solving skills. Bachelor's degree from an accredited university is preferred, but not required.  Bilingual in English and Spanish is preferred.
